12th STREET TOWNHOUSE | Hoboken, New Jersey

She was looking for something that was bright and modern, yet cohesive with the 100+ year old architecture.

I knew that the bar would be set high when the former publisher of Elle Décor asked us to help re-design her twenty year old kitchen/powder room. She was looking for something that was bright and modern, yet cohesive with the 100+ year old architecture. No surprise, she and her husband were great collaborators and editors. Once the room was gutted, we discovered that we could raise and coffer a portion of the ceiling. It was her suggestion to include textured wallpaper within the coffer. This would be the first of many complete kitchen/bath renovations that the JPD team would work on.
