We spent the better part of our initial meetings discussing how they wanted their home to function.

After combining several apartments and overseeing the complete renovation of their spacious Upper Eastside 3 bedroom, + den, the couple was left without the wherewithal or expertise to complete their newly renovated home. When we first met, there were still a few unpacked boxes and a collection of furniture that wasn’t quite right. We spent the better part of our initial meetings discussing how they wanted their home to function. With two middle school children and a dog, they wanted the space to be somewhat ‘kid friendly’, yet elegant and pulled together in keeping with their lifestyle. With the incredible Central Park views, we decided to keep the palette serene and let the backdrop serve as the drama. Much of the furniture was custom made including the magnificent pair of gunmetal & glass étagères in the living room inspired by a vintage pair from Mallet. The husband, an advertising executive, was extremely in tune to the finishes and details and pushed us when he thought we might be playing it a bit too safe. Glad he did!
