GARDEN STREET HISTORIC RESTORATION | Hoboken, New Jersey

Architect: Jensen Vasil
General Contractor: The Mex Construction

We tailored the floor plan around the wonderful plaster relief detail and original archway in the front parlor.

Having inherited the home, the seller felt particularly nostalgic and protective over who she would place this turn of the century brownstone into the hands of. Having proven ourselves on a similar house on the same block, the seller reached out to my husband and I when it was time to sell. This twenty-foot-wide beauty had most of its original details intact, particularly on the parlor level. We tailored the floor plan around the wonderful plaster relief detail and original archway in the front parlor. The marble mantle and staircase were carefully restored, and the front doors were replicated to their original proportions. We bumped out the back on all floors and updated the remainder of the home in a classic, timeless aesthetic that would appeal to most. The home was quickly sold as a custom designed spec house to a family of five.
