There is something wonderful about decorating a beach house. When the former client came to us, our wheels immediately began to spin. Storm Sandy had decimated the original house, but our client was ready to rebuild a new and even better vacation home for his family. We worked closely with the general contractor and the architect as we planned through the initial layout and exterior elements. We were responsible for the bathroom and kitchen design, as well as the millwork, lighting, molding profiles, door hardware, flooring, etc. Once all of the more permanent selections were taken care of, we focused on the furnishings. We kept the décor clean and simple, choosing a palette that spoke to the surrounding elements. We included layers of texture and a great mix of materials to add interest and warmth to the space. We completed the installation a week prior to Memorial Day, just in time for the family to make wonderful new memories together.
